It’s just two weeks to go until the world’s golf elite will descend on the Turkish resort of Belek to take part in the Turkish Airlines Open, which takes place from 7th-10th November at the Montgomerie Maxx Royal course.
The tournament will form part of the new Final Series of golf’s European Tour. President of the Turkish Golf Association Ahmet Ağaoğlu said: “We are thrilled to have the support of Turkish Airlines and are looking forward to once again proving that Turkey is more than capable of hosting world-class sporting occasions.”
Towards the end of the same month, the Ladies European Tour (LET) Access Series will be played at the National Golf Club, also in Belek, from 26th-28th November.
“I am delighted to expand our cooperation with LET by adding the end of season event to the Access Series. We endorse our commitment to the promotion of professional ladies golf in Turkey. We will do all we can to ensure that the competitors will have a memorable stay both on and off the golf course,” said President of the National Golf Club Bülent Göktuna.
Turkey’s prominence on the global golfing stage is growing each year and hosting Open tournaments not only raises awareness of Belek as a world-class golfing destination, but also adds value to its property market. Turkey property specialist Spot Blue has a selection of property for sale in Belek, including two-bedroom apartments from less than £60,000, and villas with a pool and garden for less than £100,000.
