We all know that Turkey is once again flavour of the month with package holidays on the up and new flight routes plus extra seats from the major airlines have increased dramatically. We have also seen house sales rise too as buyers are becoming more comfortable dipping their toes into the property market. Both apartments and villas are selling very well and you maybe thinking of buying a villa for yourself as a holiday home or looking long term to retire to one day in the future.
Are you looking for a property for yourself or an investment? If you have savings and you want to make an investment you would be wise to consider investing in a villa in Turkey. Why? The trend for renting a private villa for holidays is going through the roof.
Renting a private villa is attractive for many different reasons and we are seeing rentals increase for a multitude of holidays. Family holidays, girlie breaks and golfing holidays are on the increase. Only recently a friend of mine whose daughter is getting married hired a private villa for a 5 day break before the big day. Aunts, cousins, mum, sisters, the bride and her friends had 5 days of bliss relaxing by the pool and enjoying time out and for this they paid £1,200 for 5 days hire of the villa. If the mother of the bride hadn’t paid it herself for a treat for everyone, there were 12 of them that it equates to just £100 each!
That’s not a bad return at all and if you consider the main season in Turkey runs from the beginning of May to the end of October potentially there is 26 weeks you can hire your villa out and earn some lucrative returns year on year. Yes, you will need to take into account cleaning, laundry and paying a company to do this, plus the odd breakage here and there however you will still earn a good whack from renting your villa out. Look after your investment; you can add a deposit on your booking to cover any damages or breakages.
Which areas offer the best villas for sale in Turkey?
Antalya – pick up a 4 bedroom villa on a complex with a communal pool for only £139,000 this villa can easily sleep at least 8 people if you have sofa beds in the lounge then 10. This is where to come to relax and spend your days by the pool simply doing nothing at all.
Bodrum – a fantastic investment opportunity comes in the form of 2 detached villas each with 4 bedrooms sharing a large uniquely designed swimming pool and landscaped gardens. This is superb for large families or groups of friends to rent out – and double the rental fee! Both of these villas can be yours for £251.690
Belek – is a golfer’s paradise with 14 championship golf courses and villas are popular rentals here with golfing buddies wanting to hire villas for a week or two. Belek is the place to come and you can buy a 3 bedroom villa here for a mere £99,500 which is great value for money, even better when I tell you it is a resale and is fully furnished too!
Fethiye – and its surrounding areas have something to offer everyone, fabulous beaches and beach clubs, lively nightlife, super bars and restaurants and you can bag yourself a gorgeous detached villa that has 7 bedrooms (sleeping 14) with a private pool, set in its own gardens for £179,950 and that comes fully furnished! It is a mere 3km to the beautiful beaches of Olu Deniz.
Kalkan – is all about luxury it’s a quiet picturesque resort and shall we say women maybe of a certain age would appreciate this gorgeous location. Kalkan is all about views and relaxation with upmarket cocktail bars and first class restaurants here. You will pay more for a villa but boy is it worth it! Luxury at its very best with detached villas with 4 bedrooms all with en-suite facilities, set in its own landscaped gardens, plus infinity pool with uninterrupted panoramic views of the sparkling Mediterranean. Classy beach clubs are nearby and it can be yours for £390,000 fully furnished to a high standard as you would expect.
These locations represent some of the favourite resorts tourists like to book for their holidays. The villas appeal across the board and the villa in Kalkan is specifically where I would book for a girlie getaway with good friends to relax and soak up the sun. Bodrum is where I would go with my family and my hubby would definitely book Belek for a golfing holiday with his friends.
