Istanbul became a more attractive place for the world’s jet set to visit on 6th January, after the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center, now the city’s largest hotel, officially opened its doors to guests.
Istanbul’s prominence on the global commercial stage continues to grow, fuelled by Turkey’s recognition by a leading economist from Goldman Sachs as a future economic powerhouse, one of the so-called MINT (Mexico, Indonesia, Nigeria and Turkey) countries. Hilton’s commitment to Istanbul and wider Turkey is testament to the country’s growing appeal to leading global brands, and in turn investors.
With 829 guest rooms and suites, as well as 12,000 square metres of event space, the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti builds on Hilton’s legacy of almost 60 years in Turkey, extending its world renowned service to travellers in one of Istanbul’s most thriving neighbourhoods.
The stylish hotel, designed by award winning GA Design of London, stretches a magnificent 34 floors high and is adjacent to a new shopping and entertainment destination, which is being created on the site of the historic Bomonti Beer Factory.
The hotel provides guests with the perfect location to explore tourist hot spots – or property investment opportunities – on the European side of the city, as well as new retail, entertainment and dining options set to open on its doorstep.
“We are excited to be expanding our Hilton Hotels & Resorts footprint in Istanbul with this magnificent new opening,” said Rob Palleschi, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. “Hilton Istanbul Bomonti is amongst our foremost MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) destination hotels across the world and we are delighted to showcase our stylish design and superb Hilton service in Turkey on such a grand scale.”
