It’s encouraging at last hearing of some positive news regarding Turkey and its British visitors and holidaymakers, there is great news for summer visitors to Turkey in 2018. Jet2 have announced extra flights to existing routes and a brand new route from Birmingham to Dalaman is to be launched with two weekly flights from May 2018. A statement from Jet2 has said that Turkey they believe will be in popular demand in 2018 and they have added the flights and holidays in readiness.
Customer demand is increasing in interest in Turkey and Jet2 announced significant growth for 2018 earlier this year. An additional 70,000 seats have already gone on sale to the existing routes of Antalya and Bodrum and the new route of Dalaman.
Since adding the extra 70,000 seats it now means that there are more than a whopping 430,000 seats on sale to Turkey almost doubling the capacity (+92%).
The season is being extended from flights at Easter all through the summer with an additional six weekly scheduled flights from a number of bases in the UK.
Jet2 recognises that Turkey offers a great value holiday destination and is offering its customers and holiday makers more chance to soak up more of the wonderful Turkish 300 days of sunshine each year.
Flights from Jet2 normally begin in May so the added flights to incorporate Easter in 2018 is a welcome sign that the Brits are once again viewing Turkey as their main holiday destination for 2018 and is seeing a significant increase in the flights to Bodrum in 2018 by 144%.
A recent statement by Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “Turkey is a fantastic destination offering British holidaymakers great value in addition to a stunning climate and rich culture. Since putting our Summer 18 programme to Turkey on sale, we have seen a huge upswing in bookings so we are delighted to be increasing our Turkish programme even more.
