There is luxury and then there is luxury and believe me when I say that the luxury property market in Turkey does it very well. Who doesn’t want to live in a sprawling villa with uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean or Aegean Seas? When prospective buyers enquire about luxury villas for sale in Turkey they generally don’t believe what they can have for their money. As everyone in the property world knows by now, Turkey offers amazing properties in the best locations and if you can afford that touch of luxury – then why not? It’s not difficult to have those amazing sea views when you take in to consideration Turkey boasts 8000km of beautiful coastline and you can have a part of it.
The luxury property market is thriving as more investors are opting to buy in Turkey rather then spend a fortune in other European countries. Beautiful homes have all those special extras that make a luxury villa stunning, with picture postcard views plus an infinity pool, an indoor pool, Jacuzzi on the terrace, landscaped gardens and so much more. These types of properties adorn high profile magazines with the odd model shown lounging on a sun bed and we think only the rich and wealthy could possibly afford this – it’s simply not true, we can and more and more holiday home buyers are investing in this luxury lifestyle and why not we deserve it!
Of course another way to view this is, you could buy this holiday home and make excellent rental income when not using it yourself. Holiday makers pay premium rates to rent a villa such as this and it costs from around a couple of thousand pounds and they are happy to pay it. It is their holiday and they too want this touch of luxury if only for 2 weeks in the year. This extra money will pay for the upkeep of the villa and possibly even pay for your flights too. I wouldn’t worry too much about the type of people who will hire your villa, you can stipulate it’s not to be hired out to groups for hen or stag parties and no doubt you will use the services of a management rental company who can keep an eye on the place for you. Just to give you an idea of what rental income you may expect, a friend of mine rented a villa in a remote area in the countryside with no sea view for 2 weeks in April and paid £3,200 for the privilege. If you think about it, the season in Turkey runs from April to the end of October you can earn some serious money during this time.
Rental management companies are worth their weight in gold if you find a good one, ask around for recommendations. You will pay a fee of course but it will give you peace of mind your beautiful property is being well looked after. Where are these luxury villas? Across Turkey, but I would say the best are in the likes of Bodrum and Kalkan. It’s probably mainly to do with the views and the upmarket locations of these villas, set on a hill with glorious and private settings with truly jaw dropping vistas. Luxury villas usually start with at least 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms or they can be as large as having 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms and will set you back a few million. On this particular plot of over 5000sqm there is also a guest cottage and a studio which can be used in a variety of ways such as an artist studio or maybe a gym centre or a yoga room.
The luxury property market in Turkey is thriving because buyers want to spend their time in this delightful country where the sun shines for 300 days a year, the cost of living is low compared to European countries and the locals are warm and friendly. The atmosphere is laid back and life is lived in the slow lane unless you decide to buy a luxury villa in Istanbul for example. Saying that, yes you will have a beautiful luxury villa probably set overlooking the Bosphorus, however vibrant central Istanbul is close by. If you were to look at luxury property in the UK for example how much would it set you back? Would you have views of the Med? Would the sun shine almost everyday? Buy your luxury property in Turkey and enjoy the lavish lifestyle.
