Belek Wins Golf Prestige and Acclaim
Belek, in Turkey’s Antalya region, which has been nick named in the press the next Algarve, has received awards from two of Europe’s biggest (in terms of circulation) golf magazines. Belek won the “Best Golf Destination” award from both Golf Magazine and Golf Journal. The magazines cited the resorts top-notch courses and excellent accommodation facilities.
Belek was the recipient of 2008’s “Best Golf Destination of Europe” and hosted the golf tourism industry’s most important trade show, the International Golf Travel Market event in 2011.
Turkey Hosts 15th Eurasian Economic Summit
The 15th Eurasian Economic Summit will be held in Istanbul and Izmir between the 10th and 12th of April. The event, which is the largest nongovernmental economic event in Turkey, will start in Istanbul but end in Izmir. Those attending will include leading think-tanks like the China Human Rights Foundation, the Balkan Political Club, the Balkan Peace Club, the Bled Strategic Forum. The International Fund for Cooperation and Partnership of the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, and the German Foreign Affairs Association, will also attend the summit.
