Is it worth buying property in Turkey?

What are you looking for in a foreign property? Maybe it is a holiday home or an investment or possibly you wish to retire to a country with a warm climate? If you are looking for any of these options then yes it is worth buying a property in Turkey, why wouldn’t it be? Turkey is a beautiful country it has 300 days of sunshine per year, its rich in history and culture, the locals are warm and friendly and to top it all off the coastline panoramic views are to die for.

What would be your ideal location? Do you fancy being in the hub of city life where everything is on your doorstep, wonderful museums and art galleries, cafes that line busy streets, bazaars and markets where you can buy fresh coffee and spices? Istanbul could be for you, it’s a potent cocktail of culture and tradition it is indeed intoxicating it’s vibrant and full of energy it’s the perfect spot for a city pad and you can buy without paying the costly prices of other European cities. Although Istanbul is no longer Turkeys capital it is where tourists flock to for sightseeing and being immersed in Turkeys colourful heritage.

If the flora and fauna of the countryside and the majestic mountains and pine forests are your idea of heaven then you are in for a treat. Turkey has some of the most beautiful forest and countryside areas just a few miles inland of the coast. You can have the best of both worlds if you wish. Uzumlu is unspoilt and you can be part of traditional Turkey at its best. Heading towards the Mediterranean are the Taurus Mountains the backdrop is pretty spectacular.

If you want the ultimate in a beach resort then look at Olu Deniz and Kalkan beautiful bays and lagoons are here and the views are simply breathtaking. Waking up to your first coffee taking in these views are a dream come true and the lifestyle that goes with it makes it very worthwhile buying a property in Turkey.

If you are close to retirement for example what are you looking for next? Do you want to wake up to blue skies and feel healthier? To be able to meander down to your local bakery and pick up freshly baked bread for breakfast? Increasingly we are seeing people choosing this lifestyle in Turkey because it also gives you the freedom to travel further afield.
